New licence for high risk work

The National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work came into effect in Western Australia on 1 October 2007. If you operate, or employ someone who operates a forklift, you should be aware of these changes.

The Occupational Safety and Health Regulations 1996 now require that operators of fork-lifts, which are not pedestrian operated, who are 18 years of age and over, hold a Licence to Perform High Risk Work. Learn more
