Welcome to the WorkSafe Information Sessions podcast. WorkSafe, a division of the Western Australian Department of Commerce, holds regular 4thought lunchtime information sessions throughout the Perth metropolitan area. These sessions are free of charge and cover a range of occupational safety and health topics. The "WorkSafe Information Sessions" podcast makes the best of these presentations available as podcasts for listeners unable to attend the sessions.

In 2011 WorkSafe presented a session on occupational stress and workplace conflict including bullying. With growing OSH concerns about occupational stress, unresolved conflict and bullying, where do you start to navigate the minefield of stress and workplace conflict? This session (divided into three parts) will provide you with an understanding of occupational stress and unresolved conflict and the implications for management, employees, individuals and the workplace.

Episode 7: New work health and safety laws

Episode 4: An unguarded moment can ruin your day - safeguarding of machinery and plant - Part Two
Lack of guarding on machinery continues to be a significant cause of workplace deaths and injuries. Guarding is required for all types of plant and equipment where there is a risk of contact with dangerous parts. This can include items as diverse as brake presses, conveyors and some office equipment.
This session is broken into two parts. Part Two needs to be viewed in conjunction with the Powerpoint presentation as it covers practical ways to guard plant in workplaces.
